Before joining Crossroads, John co-founded Federalist Group, LLC, which was later acquired by Ogilvy Public Relations and became one of the top five government relations firms in Washington, D.C. Partner Kelly Devers-Franklin Joins Seven Letter Corporate Communications Practice, Expansion Result of Rapid Growth

WASHINGTON, DC – Seven Letter today announced the addition of Kelly Devers-Franklin as a Partner to its growing team of communicators. The firm also announced three new hires in D.C. and Boston.

Devers-Franklin has served as a trusted advisor to public and private companies, top-tier academic institutions on corporate and crisis communications, media relations and executive positioning. She joins Seven Letter’s Boston office, located within the cradle of higher education, at a time when university leaders are under historic scrutiny from students, funders, and the public. She will play a significant role in the firm’s corporate communications practice.

PRWeek: Pagefield bolsters senior team with ex-FTI and Stonehaven hires

Pagefield Communications has announced a trio of senior appointments following its recent sale to PPHC, the US government relations and public affairs holding company.

Christopher Clark, a former senior managing director and partner at FTI Consulting, joins the Pagefield Communications leadership team as a partner.

Pagefield said he will lead further growth of the consultancy’s corporate reputation offer, “both domestically and internationally”. He previously led global corporate briefs from both London and New York at FTI, where he worked for more than 23 years.

Pagefield said: “During his time with FTI, Christopher developed a particular specialism in foreign direct investment as well as the industrial, aviation and automotive sectors, all of which he brings to Pagefield, where he will also work closely with other PPHC group companies.”

Meanwhile, Ollie Wilson joins as a senior consultant from global strategy consultancy Stonehaven.

Wilson will focus on further expanding Pagefield’s marketing communications and digital platforms offer, the firm said. There will be a particular emphasis on creativity, design, audience insights and online campaigns, as well as Pagefield’s own marketing programme, working with partner Laura Price.

The third hire is Natasha Page, who joins from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry as HR manager.

She will report to chief executive Oliver Foster “as they work closely together on Pagefield’s integration within the PPHC group, and as the company continues to strengthen and expand the skills within the team”.

PPHC Hosts Breakfast Celebrating Black History Month

WASHINGTON – Last Thursday, Public Policy Holding Company hosted a Black History Month breakfast reception at the Hart Senate Office Building. The reception featured Senators Laphonza Butler (D-Calif.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), and Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) who spoke to the crowd of nearly 200 about the importance of elevating black voices in Congress. Alpine Group Principal and PPHC Board Member, Keenan Austin-Reed (pictured above with the three guests of honor) kicked off the morning’s events.

Panza joins Crossroads after three years at Amazon where her most recent role was senior manager of public policy. Before her work in the private sector, Panza spent over eight years working in the Senate, starting as a legislative assistant for Senator Barbara Boxer before serving as counsel in current Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s leadership office and on the Judiciary Committee. Panza brings to the Crossroads team expertise in a wide range of judiciary issues that include competition, tech and commerce.

Seven Letter Adds Two New Senior-level Positions for Public Affairs Veterans Blair Taylor & Maura Hogan

WASHINGTON – Seven Letter announced today that two new senior-level positions have been added to the strategic communications firm for new hires Blair Taylor and Maura Hogan. Taylor will be operating out of Seven Letter’s DC office as Managing Director, while Hogan will be working in Seven Letter’s Boston office as Senior Director.

Taylor joins the firm after almost a decade of work in the public sector as a senior communications advisor on Capitol Hill. Her most recent role as Communications Director for Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) and the Senate Appropriations Committee involved the navigation of many high-intensity, crisis situations including those related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the fight for border wall resources. Blair not only brings this experience with her to Seven Letter, but also a deep expertise in appropriations, defense, energy, health care, and financial services policy.

Hogan brings over a decade of both public and private sector experience to Seven Letter and her most recently held position was Senior Vice President at Direct Impact-Burson, Cohn, & Wolf (BCW). Hogan’s addition enhances the firm’s corporate communications offering with her specialization in corporate reputation, executive visibility, public affairs, and ESG/sustainability. Prior to joining the private sector, Hogan worked at the US Department of State where she served as digital communications advisor to Secretary of State John F. Kerry and chief liaison to the White House Office of Digital Strategy.
